I think this is a beautiful game, with nice graphics and music. And the idea behind it is fantastic. I liked sifting through the items and trying to discover what was important to this person.

I did, however, have concerns. And this is probably because I used to work doing something similar. I worked in storage, and often things were left in a unit that went to auction. At that time we had to return specific types of items to the owner. And sometimes the owner would pass away and we would have to return everything to the next of kin. What is important to me isn't the same as what's important to them, so only being able to give three things to the next of kin was horrible. The game diaries, the diary, the award, and all of the "personal effects" should have been given to the family. I also felt bad about not giving them the expensive items like game consoles, or the PC with all the personal data on it. The expensive items could have been explained by saying they only want the personal effects, and the cleaner can take the other stuff to sell or something (that's what happens when a unit goes to auction after all). But I know I'd be upset if all my writing, or art just went into the trash without my family getting a chance to at least see it.

A couple of things I would also have liked... the ability to just chuck the trash in a trash can and have one trash bag at the end. And straightening the items, or cleaning them, if I am not removing them from the room. The bed should have been stripped of linen, the table and chairs straight, the floor mats straight, and every surface clean if my job is to CLEAN the place. It felt unfinished. Also a small quality of life thing at the end, some indication that you are supposed to move once you're under the lamp post because I thought it was a loading screen there for a minute.

Overall a great game, and I would love to play it if there were more houses to clean, and stories to explore.

Played the game, it really does have a great story told subtly. Here's my thoughts:

Pros:

+ The simple game play gives lots of space to show narrative;

+ Enjoyable size for the simplicity, its an experience;

+ The mix of 3d and 2D sprite work is well combined (especially the shadow work in room from character);

+ Graphics and music make for a genuinely relaxed but engrossing game/experience.

Suggestions/Additions

* Extra Stories that sit over an under-arching protagonists plot;

* Give the text lines more time to sit, will catch more info then;

* Increase the WASD movement just slightly for better pacing.

Thanks for the experience.

I really love this game, it is very short though and hope to see more stories such a Adam's. I think it would be great if the character could walk a little bit faster but other than that it had my attention pretty good. Maybe slow down the text at the beginning so we could read it. That would be great. But all in all, it is a game with wonderful potential. Thank you for sharing it with us

hi i like this game a lot nice music nice storie and nice art. But there is a few things that could be improved or added:

- some object are too hard to take or even impossible (like the paper in the back of the chair)

- we should be able to take more things with us

- player should walk faster

- and finally add a free camera system

This game is a bit too fast with the dialogue, and I was unable to finish collecting everything in the room because a crumpled paper item seemed too close to a chair that has dialogue, so anytime I tried clicking on the paper ball, it only opened the dialogue for the chair.

I really like the concept, I just wish I could actually play it.

Cute game, has great potential, but nothing really stood out to me. It feels like Unpacking, but with a more emotional aspect to the story. However, I was very confused on how to play since there were no in-game instructions. Also, the introduction went by so fast I didn't have time to read.

Not really much else to say, but nice work nonetheless.

Edit: Okay, so I replayed it again, only this time I understood how to play. Got the more emotional ending, which w as actually quite sad. Really hoping for more, though. Games like this are pretty phenomenal.

Hi there, I just downloaded this and didn't realize it was only for Windows, do you plan to release a Mac OS version? Thanks!

Its very beautiful aesthetically, and the history is very sad and moving

In the gameplay, for some reason, it only let me put 3 items in the family box, I don't know if that's intended or just a glitch (NullReference Exception), but anyways, beautiful game! cant wait to hear more about it!

If you have suicidal thoughts talk to anyone, ending your life is not a selfish choice it's just the choice you make when you think it's the only one left. Remember that there is always a possible happy ending at the end and if it doesn't look like a happy ending that means it's not over

This is the saddest yet coziest game i have played. well done

I really hope this ends up being a full version game. I've been trying to find something that scratched that itch like Unpacking did and I really loved the concept of this.

Queria que tivesse em português

Beautiful Delicate and fleeting

Really an impressive game!

Really amazing game. I hope you have continued to build it in 2024 and we can get to see more of it.

Kudos to you.

Just a small feedback:
Maybe if you could slower down the speed of the cutscenes in the starting. When you are introducing the game.
Let the players control the pace using buttons click.

thanks.

hope this gets more stories. i like it. tugs at the heart.

and i hope game dev is ok and this is not a personal message o u o;;

It's like doing CSI.

Cleaning up other people's "mess" and figuring out the signs they leave behind.

Thanks for making and sharing it.

That was cute if a bit short, was maybe hoping for more cases and people. Displaying the controls in the game in addition to on the webpage here might be helpful too. Others have given some feedback on the controls aspect so I won't elaborate there.

I enjoyed how the ending changed based upon which items you handed out in the end, as well as all the personal details from examining many of the objects. That was a really nice touch.

I only cried a little bit.

This looks beautiful. I can't wait to play it.

Very cool little game!

This game is really really amazing. I really hope to see this game complete, i not have any that will be a perfect and incredible game. The concept of the house told the houseowner story is extremelly genial. I really love this game, so very thanks for that experience <3

The visuals are so cooool!!!!

I really like this game. It reminds me of my grandma, I lost her last year. No one knows when is the last time you meet someone and talk with them. I love the part in game about picking up all the instant noodle boxes. At first, it was only a box that meant nothing (maybe). But when I finished collecting them, I felt that they were 'Emptiness'.

Why can't the compressed package be opened? It shows that the file is corrupted, I would like to play this game, who can help me? thank you.

this game is very emotional, found all the endings. and it was very fun experience, piecing all the puzzle by each different item you inspect.

this is my full playthrough and review on this game.

I had alot of fun and emotions playing this. It's a quite unique game to me with the mixing of 2D and 3D. I especially love the idea of sealing the legacy of those who are gone by deciding what items are kept. I really wish this was a larger game. There can be several more stories done with this kind of story telling. Nonetheless, this was a great short game

Great short game. I enjoy to play Indonesia Video Games

The graphics themselves are lovely, and I really appreciate the concept of the game, but the gameplay does need a little bit of work. I think a tutorial would really work wonders for making the game flow smoother. I didn't really understand what was happening at first, and was expecting a game somewhat similar to Unpacking from the premise, so not being able to put things back onto shelves and being kind of "trapped" by the limited range of the avatar was a little annoying.

Other people have already mentioned adding a brief tutorial for how the controls work, but there are a few other ones you could add too. If I had understood "walk close to objects you want to remove to pick them up" then both the goal of the game and the mechanics wouldve been much easier to jump into. I think a popup mentioning that you get to select three items from the room to leave for the family would be nice too, that way you know without being explicitly told that whatever three items you choose will influence how the family reacts.

The popups for interacting with furniture are also clunky as hell. I don't think they really need to be there at all. Not every mat or table needs to be described if we can't meaningfully interact with it. It's better to just leave things blank and have no prompts or pop-ups if we can't actually do anything with the object.

This is a super lovely game you've got, and I think if you polish it up and add a few more levels it could turn into something really well received. But it does need some polishing, and some guidance to help it become something more solid.

I really like the game. Very cute, the only things i would add are maybe a short tutorial option.

Wow this game was absolutely amazing and sad game 10/10 well done keep it up!

I think I'd like to see the game become a longer experience, with a focus on encompassing and dealing with multiple forms of grief - loss through themes like the video, ambiguous loss (alzheimer's perhaps, loss of a friend), perhaps the aching but understanding loss of a natural/peaceful passing. I'd have liked more descriptions on items or thoughts from the protag while cleaning the space up, it also feels a little icky to not be able to clean the furniture. The game is beautiful with a great concept, though, I really want more!

beautiful gameplay, nice graphic, short gameplay, nice story

The sad but beautiful artwork, made in 3D x 2D, full of realism, was wonderful!

It is very interesting that the story is revealed in fragments and then the story is connected by showing it to the client at the end.

meow!

Really cute aesthetics. While I enjoyed everything, collecting items accidentally opened the text related to the object it is kept on like a shelf. While it was alright, it did get frustrating sometimes when you had to pick a lot of stuff and the dialogue popped up every time

Just finished the demo and I gotta say I love the concept ^^ There's layers of emotional meaning and makes me actually take a closer look at each item instead of just throwing them into the inventory like other house-flipping games

However, there were a few moments where I felt a bit lost. While the intro email set the scene, I needed clearer instructions on cleaning tasks and object interaction within the game. The itch.io page explained things later, but in-game guidance would be fantastic

Additionally, after cleaning Adam's room, the scene switch to the street with the moving box was unclear. I waited for prompts or actions, but nothing happened, leading me to think the demo ended even though credits weren't there. Eventually, I figured out I could move the character and stumbled upon Joyce for clues. I'm thinking some optional pop-up guides or visual cues would greatly improve accessibility and engagement for newbies like me

I understand that the game is still under development, and I appreciate the hard work you've put into creating such a unique experience. I'm definitely looking forward to the day the game is released  。^‿^。

I liked the concept and the graphics, but orange text on a yellowish-orange background is pretty much unreadable to me. It's also difficult to see what I'm writing here.

Relaxing gameplay. I think this will be my next favorite game when it is released XD. But here is a little feedback.

I think the naration in the beginning of the game could be made click-based (I don't know the technical term, sorry), because it might be a little too fast. It would be nice to let the players to finish reading it before proceed.

I like the premise... I like sad stories :')

For the gameplay, I'm not sure the keyboard is needed, I think it's better if it's all using only mouse...

I wish, when I collect item, I could inspect it directly before it goes into my backpack, so I don't need to open my backpack to inspect them one by one.

Telling the stories with the objects are really nice, couldn't wait what's next!
